Finding Forgiveness

Have you ever been hurt by someone? Something big or something small?
Did the pain linger or the negative thought re-enter into your mind?
Did that thought or feeling grow?

I have been hurt by someone.
I let the pain linger. I let the negative thought re-enter into my mind over and over.
The negative thought became negative thoughts. They grew and the pain deepened.

A once loved and treasured relationship quickly turned dark and suffocating.

Heavy feelings of sadness, bitterness and resentment filled my mind and heart.
This was not ME. This was not the person I desired to be.

The negative feelings stuck to me like glue, I couldn’t separate myself from them...

Or so I thought.

After days, weeks, months, and (I am embarrassed to admit) years of struggling I finally found
FORGIVENESS.

I will never forget the feelings of
Peace
Happiness
Freedom
Love
Light
Joy
that entered into my soul as I was able to fully let go of the pain that I had been harboring.

The opportunity to forgive had been there all along, I had just not found it yet.

Find forgiveness in your marriages, families and relationships.

Holding on to deep feelings of hurt is only hurting YOU. It is hindering your ability to progress.

Denying forgiveness creates:
Anxiety
Depression
Low self-esteem
Decreased cognitive function
Anger
Reduction in social growth
Negative psychological well-being
Lack of motivation
Broken relationships

Granting forgiveness creates:
Healthy relationships
Positive self-esteem
Positive mental health
Increased psychological well-being
Sense of empowerment
Sense of purpose
Higher self-efficacy
Self-confidence
Marital satisfaction
Positive social interactions
Feelings of contentment

Choosing to forgive grants us freedom.
Forgiveness is a vital aspect of our health, happiness and success.

Allow the miracle of forgiveness to heal you.
